Rugby, cut to spec.

Custom rugby kits built for contact: match jerseys in hoops or panels, hard-wearing shorts, socks and training tops.

Rugby jerseys are cut close so they are harder to grab and are built with reinforced seams; fabric and grip options are agreed per style.

07Buyer’s guide

How to order custom rugby.

Teamwear by Onyx Stitch
  1. 01

Start from the squad, not the shirt

List who needs what: outfield players, goalkeepers or liberos, coaches, substitutes and travelling staff. A kit order is usually several garments in several size runs, and naming them up front keeps the quote accurate.

  2. 02

Choose sublimated or cut & sew

Sublimation dyes the whole design into polyester, so stripes, gradients, sponsors, names and numbers cost nothing extra to add and never crack. Cut & sew builds the colours from separate fabric panels for a classic look; it suits hoops, contrast sleeves and knitted collars.

  3. 03

    Lock the identity early

Send your crest as vector artwork, your colours as references (Pantone or physical swatches), and any sponsor or league rules on logo size and placement. Names and numbers are confirmed per player before the run is printed.

  4. 04

Approve a sample before the run

A sample lets you check fit, fabric, colour and decoration on the real thing. Once it is approved, it becomes the reference the full order is checked against.

  5. 05

    Plan sizes and re-orders

Order a size run per garment, with spare sizes for new players. Keeping the approved design on file makes mid-season and next-season re-orders simpler.

08Before you enquire

Rugby FAQ.

Straight answers. Anything commercial — minimums, timing, prices — is set per style and confirmed in your quote.

Do you make tight-fit rugby jerseys?

Yes. Close-fitting and classic fits are both possible; the fit is approved on the sample.

Can you make traditional hoops in cut & sew?

Hoops can be sublimated or built from striped fabric; tell us the look you want and we advise.

Do you make rugby training wear?

Training tops, contact tops, shorts and hoodies can be made in club colours.

Can you match our club colours exactly?

Send Pantone references or a physical swatch. Colours are matched on the sample for you to approve before production; screens and fabrics can differ, so the sample is the reference.

Do you add player names and numbers?

Yes. Names and numbers can be sublimated, printed or applied as twill, depending on the garment. You send the roster with sizes and we confirm it before production.

What is the minimum order for a team kit?

Minimums are set per style and confirmed in your quote. Tell us the squad size and garments and we will tell you what is possible.

How long do sampling and production take?

Timing is set per style and written into your quote, with sampling first and the production run after sample approval. Transit is separate from production time.
