07Buyer’s guide

How to order custom compression.

Fitness & Sportswear by Onyx Stitch
  1. 01

    Define the activity first

Gym, running, studio, compression, cycling and combat garments move, stretch and wear differently. Telling us the activity and the customer shapes the fabric, seams and fit we suggest.

  2. 02

Choose fabric by feel and function

Four-way stretch knits for leggings and bras, light wicking knits for tees and singlets, mesh for ventilation and smooth interlock for sublimated prints. Fabric composition and weight are agreed per style in your quote.

  3. 03

    Think in collections

Fitness labels usually launch sets: a bra and legging, a tee and short, a top and jacket. Building the set together keeps colours and branding consistent across pieces.

  4. 04

    Brand it so it lasts

Silicone transfers, reflective prints, screen print and sublimation each suit different fabrics and stretch. The method is confirmed against your material on the sample.

  5. 05

    Size for your market

Women’s, men’s and unisex grading, inseam and length options and the size run you sell. A measurement chart in your tech pack is ideal; otherwise we work from your reference garment.

08Before you enquire

Compression FAQ.

Straight answers. Anything commercial — minimums, timing, prices — is set per style and confirmed in your quote.

Can compression wear match our team colours?

Yes, base layers can be made in team colours or sublimated with panels.

Do you add silicone leg grips?

Leg grippers and waistbands are options per style.

What compression level is used?

Fit and fabric are agreed per style and checked on the sample; we do not make medical compression claims.

Can you make women’s and men’s fits of the same style?

Yes. Styles can be graded in women’s, men’s or unisex fits; send your measurement chart or a reference garment you like.

Will logos crack on stretch fabric?

Methods such as sublimation and stretch-rated transfers are chosen for stretch garments. The method is tested on the sample before production.

Can I start a new label with a small collection?

Minimums are set per style and confirmed in your quote. Tell us how many styles, colours and sizes you plan and we will advise.

Do you supply hang tags and packaging?

Woven labels, care labels, swing tags and polybags in your branding can be included; list them in your brief.
